Making a Pie Shop, With a Little Help From our Friends

It's been even busier than usual down at Pie HQ over the last couple of months as we have been getting ready for the opening of our shop at Wapping Wharf. It is now open, although it wouldn't have been possible without the help of some very good friends. We have put together a few videos showcasing their amazing talents, that have helped elevate the decor in the pie shop to the next level. Everybody loves a time lapse so have a little look at these! Massive thank you to Jenny Whiting and Jonathan Ingram for the spectaular main build and thank you again to Rudi, Charles and Flora, and all of the other talented people who bought Lovett Pies first shop to life. Ya'll the best XXX

Lovett Pies' first shop

For the last couple of months we have been busy building our first shop down at Cargo in Wapping Wharf on Bristol Harbourside. We are delighted to now be open! We have been trading for a little over a week and it's been going great; the area is a busy, bustling array of independent retailers and eateries that has been dubbed as the place to hang out in Bristol... BBC News have described it as 'enriching the local area' and we couldn't agree more.

Our shop is small but perfectly formed, with a few seats for people to eat in, and takeaway is of course available as well. We have plenty to choose from on the menu and it's not just all about the pies (although it is mainly about the pies)! There's coffee by Bristol coffee roasters Little & Long, delicious handmade cakes and a selection of sides to go with the pies including minted mushy peas, bacon bits and our famous bubble and squeak.

If you're not tempted yet then here's a look at our full menu. If you find that you can't decide on the day then we also sell all of our pies cold, to take home and enjoy at your leisure!

Here's a few snaps of the shop, from the build and the stunning surroundings, to how it looks now.

New pie launch at Food connections producers market.

This weekend we are at Food connection producers market in Bristol harbour side. We are launching our new pie ‘Curried goat, pearl barley and pea.’ Combining tender goat’s meat, cooked gently in aromatic Jamaican spices with pearl barley and fresh peas, beautifully brought together in a spicy coconut and curry sauce.

You can find us around the Millennium and Anchor squares, from Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May. Serving it along with the rest of our pies and mouth-watering bubble and squeak, minted mushy peas, bacon bits and rich gravy. That'll warm you up if it's snowing!!
